Last summer I attended a seminar by Paul mushroom Perfect. Living in the vicinity, it was easy to visit, but I had absolutely no idea of eating mushrooms except Porto Bello et al. And reading a little more about the possibility of clogging stumps and logs. In fact, during the seminar, I felt a little place among all others, had the specific objectives and programs to be there. I am a little education could help me understand this whole thing of fungi. When I went, I was completely blown away by all the possibilities that the mycelium and presentation of excellent mushroom Perfecti offered this data. Most all of what Paul and his staff is taught in this seminar in this book.
This fascinating book is a treasure of the effective low-tech “running mycelium. Paul describes everything from gardening techniques for soil remediation at the request of health care with typical gourmet mushrooms (oh what Oyster mushrooms can) and many other species. As a scientist, he makes his data with important references. It uses language that is accessible for those who have not educated in the biological / medical sciences difficult. However, not unlike Publications Dr. Andrew Weil, there is almost impossible for this kind of information without an audience from all foresters to backyard gardeners, doctors enough information to understand in order to help simplify all how powerful this natural filter into the ground, regardless of their educational background.
mycelium film has very high-quality color photos, detailed “how-tos” Anyone can follow instructions and information on the description of the chemistry of these powerful allies in their various uses. This is a wonderful text that we will hopefully help us again of our environment and health in difficulties backyard beaten and the human body at a time. For what it’s worth, it may the most important and interesting book that I purchased in years. Now I have a lot of cardboard around my property runs successfully with all types of mushroom mycelium past kits stacked. I expect that to help other “race” with the help of techniques that build productive work and Gardens Rue Creek running clean.
Because of the perfect mushroom mycelium and the information super film, I really become “beshroomed. I go out of the way to friends, relatives, neighbors and colleagues to be advantageous for the better growth gardens, managing garden waste (to educate instead of burning) reduces the damage caused by clear cutting the cleaning of polluted soils and water ways, the elimination of termites and ants (can not wait until a solution to get the platform for that!), alternative / complementary treatment of illness / cancer and daily use, in order to remain healthy. All this is detailed in this book is simply unbelievable. Described
Paul and his team the kind of people who are doing wonderful things for humanity. So wonderful, it makes me want to start a new career and open a natural healing center. Because of the mycelium of race, it seems that there is a high probability of restoring important foundation of the earth and the human body. Indulge yourself and spend big money to get this book, it is worth its weight in gold. The next thing you’ll find that you will lead mycelium in some way, shape or form. It’s that simple. Congratulations to Paul, Dusty and FP staff for your dedication and your hard work!
Paul Stamets really knows the area and has some great insights into the world of mushroom cultivation. It briefly describes how the relatively unknown science of the United 5e (fungi) can be applied unpollute mycoremediation to help the planet. Even if it looks like a heavy topic, the material is understandable for people with little scientific knowledge or fungi and helps each to understand hwo they can close to get from mushrooms.
One of my students recommended this book and I had no idea what I enter there. A book on mushrooms, which I can not solve for me? Yes, it’s true. Stamets fungi was his life’s work. He knows like no other. It provides information about the real science based, but he writes in an easy to follow your conversation. And anyone with a little patience can grow mushrooms using the methods described Stamets. Things that he and his colleagues are to do with trees fungus will inspire you. A common fungus that diesel fuel removed from contaminated soils! A mushroom-type non-competitive (controls) of the American chestnut blight! Fight against erosion, wastewater treatment, to improve the health of forests and human health. . . The list is long and very inspiring. I look forward to good weather, so I can go and start my own experiences with mushrooms. And perhaps best of all, is the fact that most of these organizations also incredibly useful edible treats! This is my first book by Paul Stamets. I am now willing to buy his earlier works (and a good field guide to mushrooms and other fungi).
I took my science classes last about 40 years ago and had forgotten how science can be interesting. This book is not a reading lamp, and some people are not likely to go on the first pages, but I enjoyed it. I have tons of new information on fungi, despite the fact that I studied mushrooms in college (was not until my father decided to science for the girls and I convinced him to go to law school. Yes, what are the good old days.) Enjoy , as long as it a science book, ideal to test for freaks.
It is a very good book written and organized, allowing the use of this do we do something really wonderful here on our property and to motivate us even more. Mr. Stamets has to be more done to educate people about the benefits of mushrooms that someone in a way that makes it fun and interesting. You open your eyes to a whole new world.
